Scottie Scheffler did not consider withdrawing from the RBC Heritage to be with his heavily-pregnant
Scottie Scheffler did not consider withdrawing from the RBC Heritage to be with his heavily-pregnant wife Meredith over the weekend.
Scheffler followed up his triumph at the Masters last weekend with another victory in South Carolina.
The world's No 1 golfer finished the RBC Heritage 19-under par, three strokes ahead of Sahith Theegala, and four in front of Wyndham Clark and Patrick Cantlay.
Scheffler became the first golfer since Tiger Woods in 2006 to win a tournament the week after a major tournament, and became the first since Bernhard Langer in 1985 to do it after The Masters.
Meredith is due to give birth any day.

Scheffler's wife Meredith will give birth soon, which could make Scheffler miss some time
'I didn’t really put much thought into it. I had committed to playing the tournament here, it was part of the plan, so we stuck to the plan,' Scheffler said of his pregnant wife.
'I talked about it at the beginning of the week; I didn't show up here just to have some sort of ceremony and have people tell me congratulations,' Scheffler said. 'I came here with a purpose. Got off to a slow start but after that played some really nice golf.'
'It does not get boring. I think hitting a really well-struck golf shot close to the pin is like an addicting feeling,' Scheffler said of winning a second tournament in a row.
'I think that's something that's cool about the game is — that's what keeps everybody coming back,' Scheffler continued. '... I love the feeling of a well-struck golf shot. I love this game. I love going out and practicing by myself.'
'I love playing golf, gambling at home with people, just messing around. The game of golf has been a huge part of my life now for a long time, and Lord-willing it'll be part of my life for a long time going forward,' Scheffler continued.
Next on the PGA calendar is the AT&T Bryon Nelson, which takes place May 2-5.
Scheffler has not commented on his status for the tournament. It all could depend on Meredith.
